Shooters from across the U.S. will be competing to make the U.S. Helice World Team that will compete in Italy in the fall of 2020.
Helice is one of the fastest growing shotgun shooting sports in America and is expecting about 80-100 competitors to participate in the upcoming tournament. The event is hosted by Black Prairie Helice at Prairie Wildlife, West Point, Mississippi, July 24-26, 2020.
The event will consist of three days of sanctioned shooting with all scores counting towards the shooter’s standings for the United States Helice World Team that will travel to Italy in the fall of 2020.
The competitors are upscale and avid sportsmen who travel worldwide to participate in an array of shotgun shooting sports. Many also participate and enjoy the various aspects of wingshooting. This game is challenging and the friendships are lasting–there is no better way to spend time shooting Helice than having everyone pulling for you to hit everyone of your targets, and in the same breath miss enough targets to finish behind them.
The event will also host sponsors that will be set up with their tents and merchandise in a mini game fair that will provide guests the opportunity to browse new products and shop throughout the tournament. For more information, visit the USHA website.
“Truly fine guns are as much works of art as poems, novels or paintings,” writes acclaimed outdoor writer Michael McIntosh in this classic book. And who better to guide us through the world of fine guns than McIntosh. Here, he captures the whole gun–the gun as a combination of form, fit and function. Divided into two sections, the first on the art of guns and gunmaking, and the last on the art of shooting, this book is, as McIntosh himself says, “a celebration of the gun.” Indeed, it’s a celebration no lover of fine double guns should miss.
