DORSEY PICTURES RECOGNIZED FOR FOURTH CONSECUTIVE YEAR BY REALSCREEN GLOBAL 100

Dorsey Pictures has once again been recognized by Realscreen in their highly coveted Global 100 list. This marks the fourth consecutive year of recognition for Dorsey Pictures amongst the leading unscripted and non-fiction screen content companies, as determined by the leading trade publication with input from industry executives across streamers, cable and broadcast networks, producers, distributors, agents, publicists and stakeholders.

Having celebrated its best performing year in 2021, Dorsey Pictures continues its growth trajectory with increased success in true crime programming and continued dominance of lifestyle series. From corporate headquarters in Castle Rock, Colorado, the husband-and-wife team of Chris and Amy Dorsey, CEO and Managing Director respectively, bring a unique perspective of the viewer fascination with “the call of the wild” to a global audience, through their partnership with Red Arrow Studios. The ongoing success of Dorsey Pictures led to a deal renewal with Red Arrow Studios, a wholly owned subsidiary of ProSieben SAT 1, Germany’s largest media company in early 2021.

This month Dorsey Pictures celebrated its 100th episode of Maine Cabin Masters, which is now in its 10th season on Magnolia Network. The series, which first aired on DIY, continues to be a top ratings performer alongside other hit series including Building Off the Grid and Accident, Suicide or Murder.  Dorsey Pictures also added a limited, yet unannounced crime series to Peacock to its slate for 2022 as well as a series for TV One. Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey — the most widely-distributed outdoor series on Earth — will air for a 4th season on Outdoor Channel in 2022, re-airing in syndication domestically on Outdoor America, in Canada on Wild TV, internationally through Red Arrow affiliates and on streaming networks CarbonTV, Waypoint TV and Outdoor America through over a dozen streaming platforms.

The success of Dorsey Pictures also includes projects in development with ABC and USA, as well as several talent development deals in the works. The Dorsey Pictures-produced IMAX film Wings Over Water 3D, narrated by Michael Keaton recently premiered in St. Louis, Denver, Corpus Christi, Galveston and Edmonton and will soon open in New York’s Natural History Museum, Toronto, and many other locations world-wide. Following the film’s theater run, it will move to global linear and streaming platforms.

Since 2000, Dorsey Pictures has produced dozens of unscripted programs for mainstream networks including Discovery, National Geographic, History, Oxygen, TV One, WGN America, Nat Geo Wild, Travel, HGTV, DIY, Great American Country and others.
