Walker’s Disrupter electronic ear buds are now available both in-store and online nationwide.
Walker’s latest, the Disrupter electronic ear buds, are now available for purchase — upping the ante by delivering reliable noise protection and sound quality required everywhere. The Disrupter cancels dangerous-level noises, enhances desired environmental sounds and features superior audio from cell phones, tablets and other devices via Bluetooth connectivity.
The Disrupter functions on five programmed ambient sound settings; Universal, Clear Voice, Hi-Frequency Boost, Power Boost and Custom. Each setting customizable for an optimal and intimate experience.
Doug Mann, VP of brands, boasts that “by allowing users to choose the best listening mode for their activity and environment, the Disrupters are capable of not only minimizing the potential damage caused by repeated exposure to shotgun blasts and other gunfire but to improving the clarity of close-range sounds as well.”
The four new technological integrations from Walker’s are:
- Forward Focus Mode, which allows users to place emphasis on sounds originating directly in front of them, while minimizing peripheral noise — ideal when shooting steel at long ranges.
- 360° Directional Sound, provided by four microphones (two per ear bud), to improve the delivery of true 360-degree directional audio, so hunters and those in industrial work environments can better identify where noises are coming from.
- ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) Technology to reduce unwanted background noise, improving concentration and delivering a better listening experience in any setting.
- Rapid Impulse Cancellation, which reacts almost immediately to cancel out harmful noise levels and protect the wearer’s hearing.
The Disrupters are wireless, using the Walker’s Link 2.0 app, and are available for both iOS and Android systems. App users can quickly adjust sound settings, make volume adjustments, monitor battery levels and change auto shut-off time using their mobile device or smartwatch, while letting the integrated Firmware Over the Air (FOTA) feature take care of any system updates.
Mann surmises, “With this product, we’ve really taken every detail into consideration.”
