Ryan Kirby is a wildlife artist who seeks to brilliantly recreate iconic moments from the great outdoors. Working with oil on canvas, his loose brushstrokes and strong compositions capture those extraordinary close encounters with wildlife. His artwork has raised tens of thousands of dollars for conservation groups, whose missions are close to his own heart.
Ryan grew up in Illinois farm country, surrounded by row crops and plenty of wildlife. He now resides in Cornelius, North Carolina, with his wife, Kim, and black Lab, Georgia. When he’s not outdoors you can find him in his studio pushing paint and listening to country music.
Kirby will be one of many talented artists showcased at this year’s Southeastern Wildlife Exposition in Charleston, South Carolina. The event runs this Friday through Sunday and encompasses much of the downtown area, with vendors spread across five venues.
Sporting Classics will be manning booths at both Charleston Place and Brittlebank Park, so be sure to stop by and enjoy special subscription rates and other great deals. This is SEWE’s 35th year, and the show promises to be an absolute can’t-miss!
