Our associate publisher in charge of editorial and creative, Ryan Stalvey, had a lot to be thankful for last week. His youngest daughter took her first deer, a nice 7-pointer, near his hometown of Hemingway, South Carolina. She was using her father’s .270, too, making the kill even more memorable.
Not only did she shoot and skin her first deer, she also participated in the ceremonial blooding, with a bit of her deer’s blood smeared on her face.
