Hit series reached 13.5 million viewers in its inaugural season through cable, syndication, and international distribution

Officials from Dorsey Pictures, a Red Arrow Studios company, the world’s largest producer of outdoor adventure television and the only production company with outdoor DNA named to Real Screen Magazine’s annual Global 100 list for the second year in a row, announced that the hit series Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey will return to Outdoor Channel for a second season on Monday, June 29th.  The series will air 5 times a week in 2020 on Outdoor Channel: Mondays 11:30 AM, Wednesday 9:00 AM, Friday 7:00 AM, Saturday 12:30 PM and Sunday 9:30 AM (all times ET). Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey reached millions of viewers in its inaugural season on Outdoor Channel, in syndication through Outdoor America, in Canada on Wild TV and across the globe through Red Arrow Studios affiliates, giving it the largest footprint of any hunting-fishing television series in the world.

Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey brings America’s greatest sporting adventure magazines to the television space and showcases the planet’s most unforgettable hunting and fishing destinations. Season two features hunting and fishing adventures from Argentina, Mexico, Canada, Zambia, Cameroon, Australia and across the US. The series is produced in association with RAM Trucks, Winchester Ammunition, Winchester Repeating Arms, Sporting Classics Magazine, Walther Arms, Pulsar, SightMark, Safari Club International, Umarex, and Negrini Cases.

Series host Chris Dorsey is among the world’s most widely traveled sportsmen having hunted and fished on five continents and he’s served in board leadership and advisory roles of numerous conservation and sporting advocacy organizations. He’s a member of the Outdoor Legends Hall of Fame and is a recipient of the Ray Scott Trailblazer Award as well as the Curt Gowdy Memorial Award. He’s a biologist, author of 11 books on outdoor subjects, is a past editor-in-chief of Sports Afield and Ducks Unlimited magazines and his work has appeared in most of the outdoor magazines in the English-speaking world as well as National Geographic, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes and the Robb Report.  He’s been called the “brand father” of outdoor television having produced more than 2,000 episodes across 56 series with the largest companies in the outdoors. He’s also hosted nearly 400 episodes of such popular series as Sports Afield on Assignment, Benelli’s American Safari, The World of Beretta, Beretta’s Bird Hunter’s Journal, Ram Outdoorsman and Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey, currently airing on the Outdoor Channel and in syndication coast to coast as well as internationally.
