So I wondered do other governors go hunting? Yes, I found a list and now I’m naming names.

I like hanging out with other celebrities — like me — and important folks. Governors are on my short list, so I was again surfing the web to the other day in search of treats when I noted Montana’s Governor, Greg Gianforte, had killed a huge mounting lion. Cats bigger than me have earned a bullet, great job Governor.

So, I wondered, do other governors go hunting? Indeed they do. I found the list — and now I’m naming names.

First up is South Dakota’s Governor Kristi Noem. She is an active person, great hunter and has several videos out about her and her family hunting. Oh, she definitely hunts pheasants — SALUTE!

Also on the list are Wyoming’s Governor Mark Gordon who promotes a bison hunt in his state to raise money for conservation, plus he attended the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) show to promote his state as a great hunting destination. Definitely a top leader of hoomans. Alaska’s Governor, Mike Dunleavy, has hunted bears in the 49th state (his turf) and other wild game in other states. Arkansas’ Governor, Asa Hutchinson, definitely hunts ducks, and he should call me!

Georgia’s Governor, Brian Kemp, is an active hunter and bet a hunting challenge with the governor in a neighbor state that there would be either a python or wild boar hunt for the winner. Continuing with naming names, Nebraska’s Governor, Pete Ricketts, promotes turkey hunting — and he got one! — in his state. New Hampshire’s Governor, Chris Sununu, has also been turkey hunting. Oklahoma’s Governor, Kevin Stitt, likes to hunt bears with a bow and arrow. Up in Tennessee, Governor, Bill Lee, has a video out about turkey hunting with his son. Yes, they got one! And down in Texas, Governor, Greg Abbott, has been spotted holding a huge antlered white-tailed buck he got in the Lone Star state. Great job, Governor Abbott and all these leaders who set a hunting example!

I hope I have covered all hunting leaders who lead by great example. If they would like to hunt with me, they can send me a note, har har! — and a plane ticket of course. Hope they have some great hunting boots because one complaint I hear when hunters are behind me is “slow that dog down, I can’t keep up.” Hunting is a marathon. Load your shotgun and get out there! —Cameron
