Described as “a gun for the ages”, Krieghoff’s 2019 Gun of the Year honors the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln. Authorized Dealer Double Guns of Nashville worked with Krieghoff in designing a unique and lasting tribute to a man whose legacy inspires America to this day.

Due to the historic nature of this project, Management at the Krieghoff factory decided to elevate this gun to the 2019 Gun of the Year. We want to congratulate Double Guns of Nashville for having been awarded this honor.
From the pinnacle of his presidency, the Gettysburg Address to its abrupt end at the hands of an assassin, Lincoln’s life is engraved in life-like detail. Master Engraver Hendrik Frühauf perfectly captured the emotions brought about by the two well-known scenes that define the Lincoln era. The Presidential portrait artfully engraved on the top latch portrays the politician while the Lincoln Memorial on the receiver’s bottom shows the kind hearted and welcoming man. The dates of Lincoln’s life are memorialized in gold on the trigger guard.
