Houston Safari Club is changing the venue of its annual convention. Beginning in 2018, the event will be held in the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. The move allows for more elbow room for both visitors and exhibitors—something Sporting Classics will put to good use.

The 2018 Worldwide Hunting Expo and Convention runs January 26 through 28. The event celebrates wildlife, wild places, and the sporting lifestyle for thousands of visitors and exhibitors from around the globe. The three-day expo has doubled in size and will feature more than 260 exhibitors and three fundraising banquets. Expect to see the finest in wildlife art, jewelry, firearms, sporting accoutrements, and worldwide expeditions that are sure to please.

Sporting Classics will be among those exhibitors. Stop by and see us at Booth 1008, located just inside and to the right of the entrance to the show floor. We’ll be offering special pricing on magazine subscriptions, showcasing our latest and greatest products, and more.

The convention runs 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. on Friday, 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. till 3 p.m. on Sunday. Friday evening’s festivities will include the annual hunting awards ceremony and recognition for scholarship recipients. Saturday evening will feature a black-tie gala. A silent auction will take place on the expo hall floor throughout the weekend.

Proceeds from the convention go toward fulfilling HSC’s mission of preserving the sport of hunting through education, conservation, and the protection of hunters’ rights. For more information, visit houstonsafariclub.org.
