Custom rifle manufacturer Gunwerks announced yesterday that it will release the GRB bolt-rifle action for the first time to the general public. The action is a complete ground-up bolt action with a Remington 700 footprint, compatible with most Remington 700 inletted stocks.

The GRB’s 416 stainless-steel body can be run unfinished or coated with a number of firearm coatings, including Cerakote. Gunwerks’ proprietary Tri-Lock recoil lug provides the benefit of an integral lug action in a far more affordable package. The GRB action will be available at a similar price to a blueprinted factory action, but with many features of a premium custom action.

The action includes the customer’s choice of a one- or two-piece Picatinny base with integrated 20 or 30 MOA and will be available in right and left hand (limited left-hand availability), short and long action, and standard or magnum bolt faces.

“So many have followed us for years with the dreams of someday owning a Gunwerks rifle,” said Aaron Davidson, Gunwerks’ founder and CEO. “We challenged our engineering team to design an action that could be manufactured and sold as an affordable component without sacrificing the quality and performance we’re known for. What resulted is the GRB action—an action with many features of our top-dollar custom action less a few of the most expensive features.”

“Finally, a product that makes our legendary design and engineering available in the form of an action platform that anyone can use for their next custom gun build.”

The GRB Action is available now directly from Gunwerks and in coming weeks through Gunwerks’ network of dealers. For more information, visit gunwerks.com.
