HOUSTON – Gordy & Sons has unveiled their new range of bespoke, yet affordable Rizzini shotguns – a project which has taken a year to come into fruition.

Custom designed by Gordy & Sons retail director Mike Burnett, the new bespoke Rizzini game guns are available in four configurations: an over and under (O/U), side-by-side (SxS), true sidelock SxS side-lever, and coming soon is a true sidelock O/U, with a choice of either a top or side-lever.

What makes these shotguns unique is that each feature a trigger plate action, with a rounded side-plated frame and Boss-style forearm, as specified by Mike. Customers can choose their caliber from 12 to .410-gauge, barrel length, double or single triggers, automatic or manual safety, plus each gun can be custom built to the customer’s specifications and be delivered in under a year.

Completely hand engraved, they feature stunning full coverage, ornamental-style scroll, with a vignette of a south-Texas quail scene on the smaller calibers (up from 24-bore). On larger calibers (down from 20-bore) pheasants and grouse adorn each side. Each gun has a solid hand-filed rib and comes in a beautiful Negrini airline-approved, full leather case.

Matched pairs, multiple barrel sets and wood upgrades are available. Grade four Turkish walnut comes as standard. If customers choose to order smaller calibers in the O/U and SxS versions, they will also be built on a true scaled down frame.

Mike Burnett, retail director of Gordy & Sons, commented: “These guns were completely designed by me in every respect, all the way down to the engraving, the Boss-style forearm and even the side-ribs – just like what a Purdey or Boss would have. My idea behind the gun was to create what looked like a $100,000 gun, for under $30,000, yet still be bespoke with beautiful hand engravings.”

RRP is $15,995 for the standard O/U and SxS. Then $26,495 for the true sidelock options. Grade five walnut costs an additional $1,000, and exhibition grade wood is an additional $1,500. Prices are available on request for custom engravings.

To order, Gordy & Sons require a 50% deposit, with the remaining balance to be paid on collection.
