Eldridge Shively, known as “Uncle Dit” served as a medic in the Korean War, where he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. After retiring from his work as a boilermaker, he enjoyed many happy years in his second career as an antique dealer. This rekindled his appreciation for firearms of all kinds. He bought from estates all over the eastern half of the country, and the last question he asked as he walked out the door was always the same – “Do you have any old guns you’d like to sell?” Of all the items he collected over the years, his guns and his Corvettes gave him the most joy.
Furrow Auction Company will host an online only auction of handguns, shotguns, rifles, revolvers, pistols, gun safes and accessories from the Estate of Eldridge Shively.
