SportDOG® Brand, the industry-leading manufacturer of electronic dog training products and accessories, has announced the continuation of its Conservation Fund initiative. The Companions for Conservation contest will result in three lucky youth hunters taking ownership of puppies trained by SportDOG Brand® Senior ProStaff members, as well as SportDOG Brand training gear — a prize package valued at $5,000 each.
This year, 2016, is the year of the Labrador: Three of the country’s top waterfowl gundog trainers — Tom Dokken, Derek Randle, and Chris Akin — will provide training through the started stage of the Labs (black, yellow, and chocolate, respectively).
The contest kicked off at 11 a.m. on June 1, 2016. To enter, post your original dog training, youth education project, hunting, or wildlife habitat-related photo to the SportDOG Brand Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram pages, or via the web form. The post must contain the hashtag corresponding to the dog you’d like to win: #C4CBLACKLAB, #C4CYELLOWLAB, or #C4CCHOCOLATELAB.
Entries can be submitted between now and 5 p.m. EST on June 22, 2016. A panel of judges will then vote and decide on three finalists for each puppy. A month-long public voting period for the grand prize winners will then take place on sportdog.com. The three lucky winners with the most votes will be announced at 11 a.m. EST on August 5, 2016.
You can view the official rules here. Get your votes in today to be part of this important conservation effort.
