This week Cameron the Weimaraner expresses his appreciation for all things comfy and cozy where he achieves ultimate relaxation.
As a high-energy Weimaraner, I play hard, but I like to rest soft. Over by the fireplace in my home I have approximately one thousand dollars worth of Orvis dog beds stacked up so I can dive in and be supremely comfy. Those dog beds are the ultimate rest system. I deserve it!
But be warned I also claim the couch where I also like to rest. Sometimes the fireplace is too warm and I have to strain to watch TV, so the couch is a better choice many times. Mike and any visitors must find a place to sit around me—or on the floor. Those are the rules.
I know that today many hoo-mans are stressed because it’s tax season, you have loud kids, you work for a crappy boss, because hunting season has ended or a long list of other stressors. As I see it, you hoo-mans like to create a stress-filled life. Learn to live like a dog—and eat some treats. They help you relax.
Then, to better relax, lie on the couch, eat some more treats and soon you’ll feel better. Trust me on this one.
Well, lying on the couch can lead to being cold—a side effect because of increased distance to the fireplace. The solution is a blanket. I have one on the couch in case this happens. I can also recommend throw pillows because you need somewhere soft to place your head and not stress your neck. I am speaking from more than five years of couching experience.
In case you are wondering if I am a couch potato—NO! I am elevated so I can watch the house in case of intruders or observe the backyard in case a cat is roaming about back there. Protecting this huge three-bedroom dog house takes effort and skill. I can fully protect and serve from the couch.
