This week Cameron the Weimaraner shares how he gives his “compliments to the chef” in a way that is sure to never go unnoticed.

I’ve mentioned in the past I like food. While brown crunchy, alias dog food, is served in my home three times per day, I also like other foods. Bacon, cornbread, steaks and biscuits come to mind. Of course lots of hoo-mans like those also. Go figure!

When you hoo-mans dine out and have a great meal, I understand you send compliments to the chef and also tip waiters. Good for you, but don’t try this at McDonalds!

I also have a unique way to tip my personal chef, Mike, and compliment him for great meals. It’s by clanging my water and food bowls together. My clanging and beating of fine dinnerware can be heard all over the house. Yes, it makes lots of loud clanging noise, and then Mike yells at me to stop—guess he cannot take compliments well.

I pulled out a catalog long ago and had Mike buy me some really nice ceramic bowls showcasing leaves and that outdoorsy look.

I’m just not certain most dogs can accomplish the clang of compliment because they have dog food bowls that don’t move or are plastic. I pulled out a catalog long ago and had Mike buy me some really nice ceramic bowls showcasing leaves and that outdoorsy look. They are carefully placed on a walnut serving tray that has silver handles, and then that tray sits on a water absorbing mat with my name boldly displayed on it. Dogs everywhere should stop eating until their dinnerware is upgraded!

My memory of great meals and clanging compliments goes back to just the other morning when Mike served up brown crunchy with crumbled cornbread and then poured on roast meat drippings from the evening before. Wow, he knows how to cook. When it was heated and served up, I believe I beat the Olympic gold record for Fastest Meal Eaten by a Dog! That’s when the bowls were clanging and Mike had a meltdown. Maybe it’s time for him to take compliment management training.
