Bug bites hurt, and then those bites often itch, so I hate bugs.

Summer is on the horizon and you need to start making plans now for where you can take your dog camping. While I truly enjoy the great outdoors and camping, there is a place I draw the line — bugs! Yikes.

I believe America has more than 10 million types of bugs, and every bug species has one goal in mind — biting me. Beyond biting mosquitoes and stinging bees, if it’s a bug, it bites. Trust me here. I hate bugs.

Last summer a crop duster made numerous trips over my house, apparently to spray a field of potatoes near my home. I am trying to locate him so this year when he passes he can spray, both while coming and going, so the bugs around here are dead. Bug bites hurt, and then those bites often itch, so I hate bugs. I have more important things to attend to every day instead of scratching those bug bites.

There are also bugs that sting. You call them bees and wasps, I lump them in with bugs. I guess hoomans like some bugs, especially the stingers, because they build small white homes for those. There are some of those homes on the ranch across the highway and that’s where my stinging bug problems originate. Yes, you hoomans call them honey bees. They are bugs.

I did once have a stinging bug that kept circling so I nipped and caught it. Hmm, not the best idea because it stung my lips and after our encounter, I had fat lip. Ugh! More reason to hate bugs.

I’m searching for bug repellent companies that want a dog as a spokesperson. I could show them the long list of bugs and relate if the repellent works. Stand by — not sting by, har har!Cameron the Weim
