Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey Visits Award-Winning Rio Piedra Lodge as Part of SCI’s “Share the Impact” Auction

Officials from Dorsey Pictures announce that the encore presentation of this week’s episode of Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey – airing Saturday at 12:30 p.m. EST – features world-class upland hunting at the famed Rio Piedra Plantation, where fast-action bobwhite quail take center stage. The hunt was donated by Rio Piedra owners Sam and Beth Atchison as part of SCI’s Share the Impact auction, which raised over a half-million dollars to support guides and outfitters negatively impacted by the global pandemic. The winning bidder was David Gardner of Brays Island, South Carolina, who won the opportunity to experience a televised hunt with Dorsey and 4-star USMC General Walt Boomer at the award-winning lodge.

Rio Piedra is the only 3-time recipient of the Orvis Wingshooting Lodge of the Year Award, and the remarkable dogs and hard-flying birds showcased in this week’s episode are the primary reason for the unique distinction. This week’s episode of Sporting Classics with Chris Dorsey is a special treat for upland-hunting fans as three friends enjoy spectacular wingshooting action to support a good cause.
