San Antonio, Texas – Blaser-sponsored shooters Cory Kruse, Janet McDougall and Bill McGuire are celebrating after winning the High Overall (HOA) champion, Ladies Main Event champion and Veteran Main Event champion, respectively, in the National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) 2018 US Open championship, held last weekend at Coyote Springs Sporting Clays in Tucson, Arizona.
Senior competitor, Cory Kruse, clinched the title of HOA champion, with an outstanding score of 192ex200 (64 on red, 66 on white and 63 on the blue course) with his Blaser F3 shotgun. Cory has been shooting for 19 years, has won titles as both a junior and senior, and toured with the Professional Sporting Clays Association (PSCA) for three years.
Leading the field in the ladies’ category was Janet, CFO of Blaser USA from Texas, who secured the Ladies Main Event champion title with an excellent score of 171ex200 (61on red, 56 on white and 54 on the blue course) using her Blaser F3 Competition Baronesse.
Bill McGuire prevailed in the veteran’s category to win the Veteran Main Event and finished seventh overall with a superb score of 185ex200 (62 on red, 62 on white and 61 on the blue course) with his Blaser F3 Super Luxus. Bill has been shooting for 20 years, holds world championship titles and has toured with the PSCA for four years.
