It seems like over the last year or two we’ve seen every possible version of the “saving a buck’s/bull’s life” video. There was the one with two elk that had to be shot by a shotgun to be freed; the game warden who used his shotgun to do the same for two deer; the one where a deer was stuck, by itself, in a barbed-wire fence; even a deer wedged between two hay bales that had to be moved with a front loader.
But this video is a bit different than the previous ones. These two red deer were still very much alive and kicking, while the others had been significantly weakened by their ordeals or were freed by people in relative safety. What say you? Should these two men have gotten so desperately close to these animals, or should they have tried to cut the wire from a distance?
