This interview with ITV News, given as part of a larger Q&A with Prince William, outlines the royal hunter’s positions on various issues on the African continent. William has, expectedly, received a lot of flak for his comments from anti-hunters. He was previously vilified for going on a legal hunt in Spain (2014, deer and boar) as he prepared to make anti-poaching comments a few days later. Critics could/would not separate the issues of conservation and managed hunting from those of poaching and wanton waste.
According to the UK’s Independent, William is the president of United for Wildlife and a patron of the Tusk Trust.
