HALON™ HighlightsA look at the engineering highlights of the 2016 Mathews Halon.#MathewsHalon

Mathews has brought multiple technologies together to build a slick new bow, quite possibly the best its ever made. The Halon was introduced Monday but is already turning heads, with record animals being taken with it by Mathews’ pro staffers.
The Halon’s new Crosscentric Cam, inspired by Mathews’ no-cam technology, employs a partially concentric string payout to produce a stealthy draw. A true-center nocking point ensures straight and level nock travel. The combined results are hard-hitting energy and consistent accuracy.
AVS technology is utilized in this high-speed system to eliminate timing issues between the bow’s cams, maintaining cam synchronization, storing more energy, and increasing efficiency throughout the draw cycle.
The new riser is dual bridged; the split limbs are wider and more torsionally rigid. The company’s new FlatBack Grip, Harmonic Damper, and Harmonic Stabilizer makes the bow rock solid and deadly quiet.
The Halon comes with a choice of five colors, the Crosscentric Cam, a dual-bridge riser, and torsionally rigid limbs.
The Halon comes in three brace-height options: 5-inch, 6-inch, or 7-inch, with speeds of 353, 345, and 335 fps and let-offs of 65, 75, and 85 percent, respectively.
All three are within one-tenth of a pound of each other: the 5-inch weighs 4.6 pounds, the 6-inch 4.55, and the 7-inch 4.5. The bows are 30 inches long from axle to axle.
The Halon has already accounted for an impressive number of trophies thanks to Mathews’ pro staff, including monster whitetails and elk. Lee Lakosky recently shot the pending 5th place world record Kodiak brown bear with a Halon.

The Halon is available in five colors, including Mathews’ proprietary Lost Camo XD and OT, as well as black, black tactical, and stone. It can be customized with unique strings and dampers through Mathews’ custom shop.
The Halon has an MSRP of $1,099 and can be picked up at your local Mathews retailer.
