GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Bureau of Reclamation are sponsoring six, limited, special access archery hunts in the Grand Valley this fall.
The archery hunts will take place at Tilman Bishop State Wildlife Area, Orchard Mesa Wildlife Area and the Grand Junction Wildlife Area.
Hunters interested in applying for the opportunity must drop-off or mail their applications to the CPW Northwest Region office by Aug. 10 at the following address:

Drawings for the hunts will be held on Aug. 14.
Three of the hunts will take place during the regular archery season.
NOTE:
- Before applying for this hunt, an archery deer license must have been drawn for GMU 40-Grand Junction Wildlife Area, or for GMU 41-Tilman Bishop State Wildlife Area and Orchard Mesa Wildlife Area.
- The other hunts will occur during the regular rifle seasons; however, a rifle deer license must have been drawn for GMU 40 or 41 before applying. Only archery equipment will be allowed during each of these hunts.
All CPW regulations still apply including the wearing of required amount of daylight fluorescent orange or pink garments when hunting during the rifle season.
