Gordy & Sons Outfitters is hosting a “Ladies Fall Fashion Preview” September 29 from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. at the Gordy & Sons Grand Showroom. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour and reception, with national and local female hunting and fishing celebrities in attendance to mingle with guests.
The spotlight of the event will be the fashion show, highlighting the finest equipment and apparel for the female outdoor enthusiast. Guests will have the opportunity to see the new ladies’ technical systems from Sitka and meet their lady pro-staffer. Additional partner brands in attendance will be: Caesar Guerini, Randolph Engineering, Dubarry, Elichai Fine Jewelry, Clint Orms, the Montana Watch Company, and more.
Gordy & Sons Outfitters will also have the honor of unveiling the newest firearms created for women. Both Beretta and Blaser will be in attendance to officially unveil their new ladies’ shotguns. The Vittoria by Beretta and the Blaser F16 Intuition were both tailor-made for the needs of the huntress and will be seen first by guests of this event.
The Fall Fashion Preview is free and open to both men and women who are interested in experiencing what Gordy & Sons Outfitters has to offer. All guests will receive a discount for shopping the night of the event and will be encouraged to participate in a raffle for the new JP Sauer Artemis rifle, generously donated by Blaser USA.
A limited number of VIP tables will be available for $1,000 each. Each table will accommodate eight people for VIP seating and include a special gift bag for everyone seated there, an increased percentage off purchases for the evening, and table service.
Proceeds from the event will benefit DePelchin Children’s Center, an organization that is near and dear to the hearts of the Gordy family. Proceeds will go to helping DePelchin families who were affected by Hurricane Harvey. The center’s mission is to strengthen the lives of children by enhancing their mental health and physical well-being. Their approach to caring for children integrates prevention, foster care, adoption, and post-adoption programs to assist children who are at risk of entering, or are in, Texas’s child welfare system. An accredited foster care and adoption agency, they serve the most vulnerable children and families in Texas by working to break the cycles of abuse and neglect.
Carol Garner, wife of former Astros coach Phil Garner, has been selected as emcee for the evening; other prominent women from the Houston area will be present as well. Food and drink will be provided by The Rainbow Lodge, featuring gourmet field to stream bites. Alexandra Bruskoff of inTwo will assist in styling the models. Catherine Kruse of Kruse Interests is assisting with coordinating the event.
