Watch: Drone Use Helps Anti-Poaching Teams in Africa

Drones can be a headache or a help, depending on the application.


Drones seem to be the bane of many people’s existences, but they do have their positive uses. Bryce and Shannon Clemence work with anti-poaching teams in the Savé Valley Conservancy in Zimbabwe. Thanks to drone technology, they are now able to assist those teams from the air by spotting poachers lurking  in the brush around and ahead of them.

Pair the drone with thermal technology and this could be the ultimate tool for saving lives—humans, rhinos, and others.

However, it seems that elephants can’t stand them  . . .
