Getting a big whitetail buck to show up on trail cam footage is hard enough, let alone a bear. The odds of catching this thrilling scene of predator and prey are infinitesimal, yet biologist Ben Teton with California’s Tejon Ranch Conservancy did just that.

The black bear’s quick egress and the blur of fur that comes around the 25-second mark are due to the piglet’s mother returning to thwart its attacker. It’s unclear whether or not she succeeded.
